On a hot morning everyone saw a really high quality match against our friends at Kingswood Kestrels. With both teams having only 9 players it was an ideal opportunity for plenty of game time for the players.
It turned out to be a high quality game with both teams playing some excellent football . Matty's Kingswood team started well and had the early pressure but it was an fast counter attack which ended in Markie B volleying home that broke the deadlock with a clinical finish.
Kingswood hit back quickly but Fil K made it 2-1 just before half time and then scored a second just after half time to make it 3-1 to the Hawks with 25 minuted to go. A crazy 10 minutes saw Kingswood play some great football to go 4- 3 up before the Hawks came with a very strong finish and applied some real pressure hitting the bar and then Fil got his hattrick to level up at 4 each. Some great work was seen from both teams goalkeepers in the last few minute but it ended a fair 4-4 draw.
A real top quality game and good sportmanship from both sides.
