With most people now back from holidays we were able to field a strong side for our 1st away game of the season at Volta Juniors in Wellingborough. After a tight first 10 minutes where Volta applied some good pressure some really high quality passing football enabled the Hawks to play a fantastic game and come out 8-0 winners.
The score and the 5 goals scored by Fil were a Hawks record in a game and with Rico scoring his 2nd of the season , Zac scoring a thunderbolt and Markie B smashing home a penalty and some great goalkeeping by Sam & Jack which enabled us to keep a clean sheet everyone went home with smiles.
All players were outstanding but special mention goes to Kiran & Asher who were in almighty form in the midfield helping us control possession.
Next week we welcome back for the 3rd time to our ground Weekly Rovers Harriers.
After the match we are holding a parents meeting for half an hour to discuss plans for next season.
The draw for the Northants cup sees us taking on a side we have never played before called GLK United from Northampton so we look forward to welcoming them over to our ground.
Social News ; the Hawks Halloween Party is on 1st November at 7pm at the Pavilion. We have invited the Falcons to come along for a fun night. Also a group of 13 of us are going to the England v Slovenia Euro qualifier and Wembley. If others want to join us we are in the West Side of the ground in blcok 537. Adults tickets are £20 , Children £10 and train fares if booked in advance pretty reasonable.
