A Busy Summer

Its been a busy summer of Football for the Hawks with us holding 2 mini tournaments and friendlies pretty much throughout the summer at the club. In total we played around 20 games.

With other summer activities happening we were lucky to be able to get help from some old and new friends to join us playing - Zoe Warne one of the original young players from several years ago helped us from Falcons as did Ethan from the cricket section of the club.

There were some wins and losses but always plenty of goals scored.

Summer matches are now over and we are waiting for the league fixtures to be sent out for the frst round of matches starting in September.

Away for the pitch our new kit has arrived which the players are wearing in the pictures.

Lots of fundraising has been happening and we have been lucky to secure the support of the St Peters Wards councillors Mary Malin & Terry Freer who have genourously supported our new pavillion project with some local grants funding from the Ward. With the local council also interested in our project to support the housing development on the Westside of town we are hopeful of further support from them.

Sean Turner from D&S Turner Builders and also the Cricket Section has been busy undertaking the work for the Hawks on the building and we are really please with how it has taken shape.

The Roof is completed and we are having a final fundraising push to raise the shortfall for the Doors and Windows. The building will enable us to store our kit and equipment and also serve matchday refreshments pitchside.

The Weetabix League have approved our Application to join the league and we had great news that Northants FA have approved our application to become an FA Standard Chartered Club. On the coaching side we have been on the next level FA Youth Award courses and have attended further development days at St Georges Park and with Northants FA locally. The FA CPD team via their online app Captured have asked the Hawks to send in some coaching session videos and drills to circulate to the coaches which we will work on over the coming month.

It has been good to see other youngsters getting involved in helping us so as well as our young coach Luke Doughty we have seem Jonathan Leesing & Ryan Barritt helping us with match official duties and we have also been approached by some other youngsters to get involved in coaching the planned starter team we want to get off the ground in the autumn once the pavillion has been completed.

Our next main event at the club following on from the succesful awards night will be our Annual Quiz night where we will invite all our friends and supporters from the local community.
